Prepare your Centerpiece® database for transition:

Determine what system configuration to use for PortfolioCenter:

  • Determine system requirements for PortfolioCenter
  • Estimate PortfolioCenter database size
  • Determine SQL Server version: Express or Standard
  • If necessary, upgrade your hardware and software.

If you are upgrading to a new computer for PortfolioCenter, move Centerpiece to the new computer:

  • Record serial numbers in Preparation section of the worksheet
  • Record interface data paths in Preparation section of the worksheet
  • Record Centerpiece database paths in Preparation section of the worksheet
  • Install Centerpiece 5.6 on the new computer
  • Transfer databases to the new computer
