It would be especially helpful to have a good understanding of the content covered in the Day One curriculum.

2008 Class Summary

This class begins with a thorough discussion of the two performance calculations in PortfolioCenter: Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Time Weighted Rate of Return (TWR). Understanding the concepts of performance measurement provides the foundation for period-end reporting.

The remainder of the class is built around a detailed checklist of tasks related to the month-end and quarter-end processes. Included in this discussion are:

Best practices related to these period-end processes will be covered in detail.

Important: This course is taught using PortfolioCenter, but it is also appropriate for those still using Centerpiece.

Updates for 2008

The curriculum will basically stay the same. The biggest change is that the CE and CPE credits are NOT offered in 2008. Revisions to the class content focuses on using new features and functionality available in PortfolioCenter 4.4.
