Installation Instructions PortfolioCenter Standalone

In this configuration, all the program components are on the same computer.

Standalone Configuration

Note: For detailed, step-by-step instructions for most tasks, see Installing PortfolioCenter 4.41 as a Standalone.

Before Starting the Installation

1 Make sure the operating system on the machine is supported by PortfolioCenter. See Operating Systems for a list of supported operating systems.
2 Temporarily disable any third-party anti-virus or firewall software. Some of these applications can increase the time spent during installation because they rely on your input for several steps.
3 Make sure PortfolioCenter is closed.

Step 1. Install PortfolioCenter

11 Login to the computer as a user with administrative rights.
12 Insert the installation disk, and when the menu displays, click Install PortfolioCenter to start the installation.
13 Follow the instructions in the install wizard. When asked for the setup type, select Standalone.
14 When the installation is complete, click Finish.

Step 2. Login to PortfolioCenter

When the installation is complete, open PortfolioCenter and login with the following (shown below):

  • User Name: securityadmin
  • Password: password
  • Application Server: My Computer
  • Database Server: Use Default
  • Database (SQL): Use Default

22 At this point, no serial numbers have been entered, so you are asked if you want to enter one. Click Yes.

Enter your serial number in the Serial # field at the bottom of the Licensing dialog, and then click Add.

Repeat for all serial numbers you need to enter, and then click Close to enter PortfolioCenter.

You should see a dataset with no portfolios.
